Cebu Is Changing!
I moved back to Cebu in March 2010 after being away for five years and I have to say the place has changed and for the better! The roads are improved and getting around is easier compared to how it was in 2005. Also there are more businesses investing in Cebu and that has given the place some
Next to SM Mall the hotel that never opened has been refurbished and opened and the same for several other hotels int he city. That to me indicates there is a growth in the number of visitors needing accomodation. Nobody opens up multi storey hotels without some idea of being able to fill them up.
Ayala Mall has had a major expansion with a lot of new entertainement venues, restaurants and bars attached. Really upscale places that suggest enough people have enough disposable income to warrant this growth. Everywhere you look there are signs of prosperity and growth you don’t see in Manila so much. Maybe in Manila there is so much going on it just blends into the background but in Cebu, Mandaue, Talisay and Lapu Lapu City on Mactan you can see the growth and the investment.
This really is an exciting time to be living in Cebu and being a part of the development of this jewel in the Visayas.
